Online Telehealth Services for Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment
We know that eating disorders don’t take a break—even during these times when the COVID-19 outbreak is forcing the world to socially distance. In fact, theses stressful times can further trigger maladaptive thoughts and behaviors around eating.
It’s more important than ever that Center for Discovery continues to provide the necessary treatment for individuals struggling with anorexia, binge eating disorder, bulimia or other eating disorders. Residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment are still available in person for those who need it, but we recognize that many individuals are concerned about social distancing and other safety concerns related to in-person programming.
Heal from Home in Select States
As an alternative to in-person outpatient programming, we offer online telehealth programming for intensive outpatient care in the following areas:
Same Quality Care, Different Setting
Center for Discovery is renowned for its personalized approach to treatment and our hands-on dietary program. You may wonder if it’s possible to get the same care at a distance. It is.
This flexible option ensures continuity of care for patients from the comfort and convenience of their home. Our online telehealth program follows the same programming as our in-person outpatient program, including one-on-one sessions with your therapist and dietitian, group sessions and family programming. Because patients will be at home, they will prepare their own meals and will have opportunities to participate in supported meals or snacks via teleconference.
What to Expect from the Online Telehealth Program
- Therapeutic visits via the Zoom platform or other telecommunication platform that meets HIPPA compliance requirements
- Two-way, live interactive telephone and/or digital video communication
- Medically necessary treatment with licensed members of your treatment team while reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other contagious illness
What You’ll Need
Participation is easy. All you need is:
- An electronic device with video capabilities
- Internet access
- A quiet, private space
