Center for Discovery Temecula is an outpatient eating disorder treatment center for patients of all genders and all ages. The Temecula IOP/PHP treatment facility serves all of Southern California. It opened in November 2019 and is located near the 15 Freeway and the 79 Freeway. Treatment modalities we offer include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure & response prevention (ERP) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
In addition to receiving evidence-based therapies, patients all have the opportunity to put “joyful” back into movement through yoga and other activities. Discovery’s specialized binge eating disorder (BED) program, Path to Peace, is also offered at this location.

The eating disorder outpatient team is highly trained in eating disorders, including certifications in eating disorder treatment and abundant experience with high acuity patients. Many of the staff members are trained in trauma therapy, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). This eating disorder treatment facility strongly supports family involvement in the treatment process and holds family nights as a way to involve loved ones to enhance the involvement of the patients.
MEET THE TEAM
Ryan Branson, MS, RD
Ryan Branson earned his Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition from University of Illinois at Chicago. Ryan also earned a Master’s of Science in Eating Disorders & Clinical Nutrition from University College London. As a part of his dietetic supervised practice, Ryan worked as an intern at Rogers Behavioral Health and Eating Recovery Center. Aside from his professional education, he has been actively involved in the eating disorder field for many years, including volunteer work with eating disorder organizations. Following graduation from his dietetics program, Mr. Branson worked as the registered dietitian at Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment in Long Beach, CA, prior to joining the Center for Discovery ED OP Temecula team. Through his volunteer and professional work, he has developed a deep passion and empathy when it comes to working with clients struggling with eating disorders.
Mr. Branson is thrilled to work with Center for Discovery as Registered Dietitian ED OP, working collaboratively with the treatment team to provide the highest and best quality of care and instilling hope that recovery is possible to clients. Outside of work, Mr. Branson enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling to new destinations, and continues to further his education in an effort to obtain the Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) credential.
Christine Castillo is currently a dietetic intern and graduate student at Utah State University. She is an aspiring dietitian that has a passion for community education with a focus on empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and to grow more attune with their relationship with food. Christine has been a diet technician at Discovery for almost a year leading groups in kitchen skills, intuitive eating, nutrition science, conscious social media, and soul hunger. She loves coming to work every day and being a part of her client’s journeys in becoming an intuitive eater. Her philosophy in everything is all about how she can make a positive impact on others for not only the present but for years to come.
In her free time, Christine is a tree hugger and loves camping and putting up her hammock any chance she gets. She is a forever Disney kid and loves watching movies with her husband and her kitty.
COVID-19 Update: Online telehealth is offered for intensive outpatient treatment as an option to patients living in California, Florida, New Jersey and Texas.
In-person intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization is also offered at this location. Residential treatment continues to be offered at our residential facilities for individuals in need of a higher level of care.
