EDMONDS EATING DISORDER PROGRAM

Edmonds, WA

HOME / LOCATIONS / EDMONDS, WA

Center for Discovery Edmonds is a high level of care treatment center located in Southwest Washington that opened in November 2009 and treats patients of all genders ages 11-17 years with serious eating disorders. The Edmonds location caters to all adolescent patients who reside in the Pacific Northwest including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Montana.

The eating disorder program believes in integrating their patients into the community by bringing them to local malls, restaurants and bakeries to practice skills they will need once they successfully complete treatment. This treatment center integrates art therapy and family therapy into the treatment approach as a way to make every patient feel at home. Residential treatment at Center for Discovery Edmonds works closely with teenage patients and their families to develop safe boundaries, establish weight restoration, treat co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, learn positive coping skills, develop a safe and healthy relationship with food, maintain a healthy support structure and treat the underlying triggers associated with the eating disorder.
